What characteristics set Jensen Jarrah apart from other wood outdoor furniture choices?

1- Award-winning designs and award-winning customer service

In assembling Jensen Jarrah furniture, if we discover there is a part or hardware missing, how do we get this part?

Customers- must go through the store where they purchased. Store staff- identifies issue, product item#, specific component part & reason, and fax Jensen Jarrah. The part will be received within two weeks.

What is the Warranty on the furniture?

5 Years against material and manufacturing defects, excluding natural wood fading, natural wood features, surface checking.
Textilene Fabric – 2 year warranty.
Cushions carry a 2 year warranty.

If the Jarrah furniture has faded, how can it be brought back to look like new?

Wash the furniture with mild detergent and let completely dry. Sand with 120 grit sandpaper until new color is exposed. Finish with 180 grit sandpaper and apply Jarrah Colourguard Plus with a smooth cloth.

How often is the re-coating with Colourguard Plus required?

Frequency of care relates to weather conditions in your area and display location of the furniture (under covering, partial cover, by a pool, fully exposed, or indoors). Fully exposed furniture twice – three times a year in average climate is sufficient. Once a year if furniture is under-cover. More frequent re-coating is required in regions with high sunshine and rain.

Do you recommend a cover for our outdoor furniture?

A breathable cover will certainly reduce the amount of cleaning, sanding and oiling, normally required for timber outdoor furniture.  Fame Distributors produce a breathable, UV resistant cover which is specifically designed to fit around your Jensen setting. Please refer to www.famecoverup.com.au

Are furniture parts available for purchase if not a warranty issue (dog chewed chair arm, hurricane damaged table leg, etc)?

Yes, Jensen Jarrah has a spare parts department. This purchase must come through the store and requires identifying part and receiving quote for part and shipping.

What are the fittings made of?

Zinc Plated Steel. This is used for strength, durability and rust resistance.

What formula is provided to most accurately recommend a Jensen Jarrah setting for a particular size patio space?

To allow comfortable chair movement, add 52 inches [1300-1400mm] to length of the table if there will be seating at both ends. Do the same 52” for table width.Chalking out the area is also useful to visualize the size.

Can I use Linseed oil on my furniture?

We do not recommend Linseed oil as it will eventually turn jarrah black.

Can I use steel wool on my Jarrah furniture?

Steele wool should never be used. It will result in black blotches.

What are the benefits of using Jarrah Colourguard?

Colourguard contains light transparent pigment that helps to screen UV light and enhances the tone and hue of the jarrah without hiding the grain. ACTS LIKE A SUN BLOCK FOR YOUR FURNITURE.

Does Jensen Jarrah sell customer-direct?

Jensen Jarrah does NOT sell direct. Please refer to the “Where to buy” on our home page.

What is your policy regarding internet sales?

Est. 2000 our policy clearly states that USA retail stores can display and/or link to our website to educate and inform customers. Prices are not to be listed, and we do not honor national sales and distribution outside of the store’s area.

For the Environmentalist

The Forest Products Commission [FPC] in Western Australia strictly manages the harvesting of Jarrah, after the Conservation Commission has determined the allowable sustainable harvest.  The FPC has ISO 14001 accreditation for its forest operations following independent assessment of its practices.  The Department of Conservation and Land Management [CALM] http://www.naturebase.net/ is responsible for overall management of State Forests.

In S.W. Australia there are over 6.25 million acres of Jarrah forest. Less than 1% is being logged, which is governed by the Australian government for this timber to be used in the most creative & constructive products.
